Today starts Week 2 of 4 in the plan to keep PTC open.
Team Teacup got started just last Tuesday(12/8) and has not stopped since. In just one week we have a Facebook fan page with almost 300 fans. We love the enthusiasm of our fans and can't wait for more people to join! Feel free to join! In fact, we'd like it if you do. :-)
This past weekend, Vincent Pinkney, manager and potential buyer of PTC, spent every minute of the restaurant's hours of operation, getting over 500 petition signatures from loyal Pink Teacuppers. This petition will be imperative as talks continue with the landlord. (FAQs coming soon with details)
Workhouse Publicity has also come on board to donate their boutique PR services. Adam Nelson, CEO, and his wife Allison of Chocolate Bar, reached out and told us The Pink Teacup was a cornerstone in their courting days. News of the restaurant's closing sent the Nelson's into 'what can I do?' mode. Not much else needed to be said. We look forward to working with them!
We're also excited to have Rachel Barrett of Rachel Barrett Photography on board to preserve the restaurant in still. NYC is full of so much talent!
This week Adam and his team will be sending out our first press release.(Thanks for the writing help Tricia!) Also, Rachel and her team will be taking some shots at PTC around noon on Monday. If you're in the area, stop by. You'll be frozen in time! :0) AND we'll be starting the official "Save The Pink Teacup" campaign this week! Look out for pink flyers everywhere!
We've got some other pretty neat supporters in the works! As soon as we work out the details we're gonna share them ALL!
We'll be updating this blog as news develops. Please stay tuned. Email us the way you'd like to help at: savethepinkteacup@gmail.com
