URGENT: Save The Pink Teacup Campaign Donations

Hello Save The Pink Teacup Supporters,

You may have read the Pink Teacup is scheduled to re-open soon. However, we regret to inform you along with many other changes that have come to our attention, the generous financial gifts to keep the doors open have not been accepted by new owner, Lawrence Page. We are deeply saddened by his refusal and the message it sends to the restaurant's supporters.

We have documented the donations made throughout the campaign and on January 3rd, 2010 at the Save The Pink Teacup fundraiser. Those funds paid by check and via Paypal will be returned within the next 4-6weeks. If you do not receive the refund within that time, please contact us at savethepinkteacup@gmail.com.

Those donors who rendered donations by cash on January 3rd, please contact us at savethepinkteacup@gmail.com by July 1st, 2010 to verify your name and preferred address to receive your refund. After July 15th, 2010, all unclaimed funds will be donated to the Bowery Mission, the non-profit soup kitchen that received leftover food during The Pink Teacup's earlier years.

Thank you again for your support to Save The Pink Teacup. If you have any questions regarding your donation/refund please feel free to send an email to the Save The Pink Teacup email address.

Regards,
Ebonie Johnson Cooper, Team Teacup

*Refunds are not applicable to raffle winners*

*Please note the refunding of the donations is mutually exclusive of the restaurant's opening. It was the decision of the owner not to accept the donations. The plans to open the establishment are under the terms of ownership. Nevertheless, we always wish The Pink Teacup the best!*

  1. Lawrence Page, proprietor of the Pink Tea Cup restaurant here. I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to everyone that supported the campaign to save the Pink Tea Cup, especially Team Tea Cup as they were instrumental in drumming up the much needed support to keep such an important institution alive. What that said I would like to take this opportunity to inform the Pink Tea Cup's local supporters about the impending opening.

First and foremost, the Pink Tea Cup will open @ 5pm on Monday June 7th!!!!! Just steps away from the original location, the new location 88 7th Ave South between Grove and Bleecker.

The Soft Opening is Monday June 7th – Friday June 11th with a limited Dinner Menu starting at 5pm including a selection of all-time favorite staple dishes and new additions like Chicken and Waffles, Specialty Cocktails, and entertainment. Saturday June 12th & Sunday June 13th will entail Brunch @10 and Dinner. Please keep in mind there will be 10% off the Soft Opening.

The Grand Opening party starts at 5pm Monday June 14th. We encourage our supporters to join us during both the Soft and Grand Re-Opening of the Pink Tea Cup.

With that said, the Pink Tea Cup will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and late night cocktails following the soft opening.
